c++ - Present current version of DM C/C++
- Cesar Rabak (11/11) Dec 12 2008 I posted this some days ago in c.announce, but no one seem to have seen
- Walter Bright (2/11) Jan 01 2009 The 8.51 is a beta version.
- Cesar Rabak (5/17) Jan 02 2009 OK. I understand now!
- James Mansion (6/7) Apr 30 2009 Somewhat extended beta program this one!
I posted this some days ago in c.announce, but no one seem to have seen it, so I'm repeating: Reading the page http://www.digitalmars.com/ one is informed that present C/C++ compiler for Win32 is 8.50. However, going to the version link in the "Latest C and C++ compiler version info." bullet mentions version 8.51 (according to changelog issued January second of this year). Was the change considered too small to warrant an update in the main web page? -- Cesar Rabak

The 8.51 is a beta versionSomewhat extended beta program this one! Does C++ get any love at all these days? Note: new version of Boost is about to go into beta, and I believe that the existing compiler won't work with current versions of the Microsoft SDK, both of which cause problems. James
